Today I will post how to restore IMEI on Asus Zenfone 4. When your zenfone got null IMEI you can't call/text/data because your zenfone will not recognize simcard.

IMEI RECOVERY METHOD 1

1. First root your device
2. download and install terminal emulator
3. download this and copy it to internal sd card
4. open terminal emulator and type su
5. grant superuser access
6. type dd if=/sdcard/mmcblk0p3.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p3
7. and enter
8. after success restart ur phone and pray.

TWRP Recovery for ASUS Padfone S T00N PF500KL

• Backup your data first before perform this action.

Download TWRP Recovery img:

• Download TWRP asus_t00n_twrp_2_7_1_1.img Here

Instructions:

• Download file above and place it to internal memory
• Open Terminal Manager and Type: 

dd if=asus_t00n_twrp_2_7_1_1.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery

• Then re-opened to recovery, after the reboot, when the ASUS logo disappears about 60 seconds and so on, press power button, you can see the TWRP menu Hello. I have not verified all the features, free to try again, please remember to interested backup your mobile phone data.

Resolution:

You will have to run this exe in compatibility mode. Download the installable from http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-android-device-usb-driver Once the exe is downloaded, go to the compatibility settings. Right click > Properties > Compatibility Tab
Then Try to Install Again, should be no problem.

if your WiFi gets disabled after inserting simcard and can't find any network this module should fix your problem.

you need to do a factory reset and enable this module before inserting simcard.
if you don't want to reset your phone:
1. Install aSQLiteManager app from google play.
2. Press Open Database.
3. press .. directory to go back until you get to root directory and grant for root access if it asked.
4. Go to data -> data -> com.android.providers.settings -> databases and open settings.db.
5. Open global and press Data.
6. Press PgDn and look for wifi_country_code.
7. Click Edit and set wifi_country_code value to us.
8. Click OK.
9. Done. If you already enabled Xwifix module you can restart the phone and enjoy WiFi.

Important
1. This app needs the Xposed Framework. The framework requires root access for installation.
2. You should make a factory reset and enable this module before inserting simcard or change wifi_country_code manually as i explained above.

I made this module for asus zenfone 5 4.4.2 update and specially for Iranian users.but i think it should work on other phones running android 4.0+.

ART is a new Android runtime being introduced experimentally in the 4.4 release. This is a preview of work in progress in KitKat that can be turned on in Settings > developer options but ASUS currently add Limitation to ART mode in Zenfone, so we can't found ART mode on Developer Options.

Today i will teach you how to Open ART Mode On Zenfone 5/6. Tested on Zenfone 6.

Requirements:

• Rooted Device
• Root Explorer / ES File Explorer / Another
• Zenfone with Android 4.4.2

Instructions:

1. Make sure your zenfone already have root permission.
2. Have Root Explorer / ES File Explorer

   

   I use ES FE

   
   

3.   Open ES FE
   


4.  Change Root Folder Permission to RW
   


5. open build.prop (/Root/System) (you can backup your original build.prop first by copy it to SD card)
   
   
   

   

   Open With ES Text Editor



6. Find Line persist.sys.dalvik.vm.lib = libdvm.so and Replace libdvm.so to libart.so

7. Reboot Device (The First booting Takes 10-20 minutes so be patient)

Instructions:

1. Download all Resources above, Install Intel USB Driver and Extract ADB folder then place System.img.gz to ADB Folder.
2. Turn off Zenfone 4 a450cg then go to Droidboot (Power + Volume up)
3. Connect Device with PC/Laptop
4. on ADB Folder Press Shift+Right Click then choose "open command window here"
5. Then type this on CMD (bold only):
   fastboot erase cache then wait until complete
   fastboot erase userdata then wait until complete
   fastboot erase system then wait until complete
   fastboot reboot-bootloader then wait until complete (will restart to droidboot)
   fastboot flash system system.img.gz then wait until complete
   fastboot flash boot boot.img then wait until complete

Instructions:

1. Download All Resources above and Place it to one Folder, and Install Intel USB Driver& ASUS Zenfone USB Driver.
2. The first step is to install iSocUSB-Driver-Setup-1.0.4.exe, when your phone is on USB pattern appears when connected to the computer should be two new devices, both at Intel Soc classification: CloverviewPlus Device and Intel Soc USB Driver.

3.  The second step is to install xfstk-downloader-setup-1.5.1.exe and switch to the CLVP A0/B0/B1 Tab, and Make sure Device status column which shows the Scanning: CLOVERVIEWPLUS TARGETS DETECTED: 1, if the final surface is displayed as 0, check again Device Manager and make sure Zenfone is detected.

4. The next thing is very simple, sequentially select FW DnX, IFWI, OS DnX, OS Image files that you have downloaded earlier.and Click Begin Download, then USB pattern on the phone will have a progress bar display (red)

5. Upon completion of the phone will automatically reboot, if the boot screen becomes the pattern of Intel inside, there are two ways:
   a. Enter Recovery and Flash ROM via ADB
   b.  Via Fastboot flash the splashscreen
   - phone into fastboot mode and connected to your computer, click on the execution  Update_SplashScreen.bat
6. If the above steps are completed, the phone still will not turn on, or in the recovery Flash factory ROM also has problems (occurring failed to mount / cache errors ), here there is a last resort:
   - Download The Reset.bat  (Download HERE)
   - Phone into fastboot mode and connected to your computer, click on the execution Reset.bat re-initialize the phone.
   -Go to Fastboot, Flash Recovery (Tutorial HERE) and Flash ROM with the same build number with the recovery (Tutorial HERE)

Tutorial:

Downgrade/Upgrade :

1. Download ADB and Extract it, Download Intel Driver and Install
2. Download Recovery for Downgrade or Upgrade (In this tutorial i'll downgrade my zenfone 5 from 1.18 to 1.17) so i'll download 1.17.40.16_ww_recovery.img
3. Download Zenfone Firmware (in This tutorial i'll downgrade my zenfone 5 from 1.18 to 1.17) so i'll download UL_ASUS_T00F_WW_1_17_40_16.zip
4. Copy recovery img (1.17.40.16_ww_recovery.img) to ADB Folder and Copy .zip firmware to ADB folder too (see image below).

5. Activate USB Debugging on Your Zenfone and Connect it to PC/Laptop via USB Cable (How to Activate USB Debugging? HERE)
6. Open CMD at ADB Folder by Hold Shift+Right Click and Open Command Window Here
7. Type this on Command Window: adb reboot bootloader and wait until your zenfone enter fastboot mode
   
8. When succeed enter fastboot then flash recovery, at Command Prompt type: fastboot flash recovery <filename.img> and wait until finish
   
   
9. Choose Recovery, when android robot appear press volume down+volume up and choose update from ADB. Now Flash the firmware via ADB, by type ADB sideload <firmwarename.zip>

2. Download TW/CN/WW Recovery img
3. Download Firmware/ROM WW/CN/TW

How to Re-Lock Asus Zenfone Bootloader

The trouble after unlock bootloader : Furthermore, such repaired Revised Product will not be covered under the warranty of the Original Product; the software of the repaired Revised Product will not be deemed the software of the Original Product and will not receive ASUS software updates.

But we can re-lock the bootloader

Steps:

1. Download the Latest ROM/Firmware (V1.17.40.1X or latest version)
2. Copy if.bin from system/etc/firmware and ifwi.zip from ROM folder to Fastboot folder
   
   
   
   
   
3. Extract  ifwi.zip there will be dnx_fwr_ctp_a500cg.bin and ifwi_ctp_a500cg.bin (if zenfone 6 : dnx_fwr_ctp_a600cg.bin and ifwi_ctp_a600cg.bin
4. The phone turned into bootloader (through when adb reboot bootloader or boot while holding down the volume up+ power button) and connect to a computer through a USB cable and open cmd by press shift + right click, open comand here at fastboot folder).
5. Unlock bootloader syntax: (ZenFone 6 please dnx_fwr_ctp_a500cg.bin replace by dnx_fwr_ctp_a600cg.bin )
fastboot flash dnx dnx_fwr_ctp_a500cg.bin
fastboot flash ifwi if.bin
fastboot reboot-bootloader

Beim letzten Artikel, wo es um den RAM-Verbrauch ging (siehe hier) habe ich eine Mail bekommen. Ich wurde gefragt, ob ich mir nicht das Android L Designpaket installieren könnte, da es einen Eintrag gibt, welcher sehr verdächtig ist.
Wer euch böses will, der will nicht erkannt werden und mit dem Namen "Notification Hijacking Service" wäre das nicht wirklich klug. Der Dienst läuft obwohl dieser gar nicht laufen muss, daher können wir diesen ganz schnell deaktivieren.

Einstellungen -> Sicherheit -> Benachrichtigungszugriff -> Haken bei Designs entfernen

Das wäre schon alles. Am System ändert sich nichts, hab es extra noch einmal getestet.
