WhatsApp Introduced Video Calling Feature

The Social giant App WhatsApp has announced that its video calling is coming to its various apps over the course of the next few days and has really introduced it.

WhatsApp already includes voice and text, so video’s the obvious next choice. It should work exactly like Skype, FaceTime, Hangouts, and the variety of other options out there. There’s no exact time or date on when the video calling update will roll out, but it should arrive in the app “in the coming days.”

How To Use Whatsapp New Mentions Feature In a Group Chat

WhatsApp has finally enabled the mention feature on its Android. The mention feature works same as it does on Facebook and Twitter. Users will have to use "@" sign in a group chat and the app will automatically suggest names of the group members. Notably, the feature is currently limited to group chats only. The mention feature was first stated back in June.

Whatsapp

The new feature of the popular instant messaging app will make it easier to get the attention of someone in the group by mentioning them. Impotantly, the new feature is visible to Android users who are running version 2.16.259 and above. Considering, we were running the same version since last few days and received no new update, the new feature was probably enabled from the server-side by the company. While it was first spotted by beta users, it is now available for general users as well.

As for WhatsApp for iPhone, users running version 2.16.10 and above are seeing the feature.

WhatsApp has lately been adding ample  features to its messaging service, with the most recent being message quotes and replies. The feature allowed users to quote messages when replying. The message quotes and replies feature is self-explanatory and the user needs to long press a message in any conversation to see a reply option pop up alongside star, delete, forward, and copy.

Simple Methods To Stop Whatsapp From Sharing Your Data

WhatsApp will soon start sharing some of your data with Facebook. This will allow Facebook to show you more targeted ads.

You will not see ads on WhatsApp, but you could definitely start seeing Facebook friend suggestions and ads based on your data from WhatsApp.

If this makes you uncomfortable and you don't want Facebook to see your WhatsApp data, you need to manually disable the setting on the messaging app. Here's how to stop WhatsApp from sharing your data with Facebook.

If You do not  agree to WhatsApp's updated terms of service
WhatsApp will notify you of the change to its terms of service. When you open the app, you will see a page that says this, and asks you to tap agree. If you are on this screen, follow these steps:

1. Tap on the  Read
2. Uncheck the Share my WhatsApp account information with Facebook button.

Another Method

If you've already tapped Agree, or did so without reading, then you can still stop
WhatsApp from sharing your details with

Facebook by following these steps:

These Steps will work on Android:
1. Tap the three dots icon on the top- right.
2. Tap Settings > Account.
3. Uncheck Share my account info.

This actions will stop WhatsApp from sharing your data with Facebook. If you have not seen the updates terms of service page, or the setting mentioned above does not show up in the app, these changes haven't yet been rolled out to your device.

They will show up soon, so be sure to keep these steps in mind.

WhatsApp message gets Quotes and responses

WhatsApp has got a new feature that will let users quote messages when replying.

While earlier this week, the new feature was spotted in beta builds of WhatsApp for Android, it is now rolling out for most users across Android and iOS running the general release builds from Google Play and the App Store.

The message quotes and replies feature is self- explanatory and the user needs to long press a message in any conversation to see a reply option popup alongside star, delete, forward, and copy.
Whatsapp get quotes reply messages

On tapping the reply button, the original message will appear as a quote, and users can reply to that. On the receiver's end, the quoted message will appear as a grey box with the reply below it. The feature works on one-to-one chats as well as group chats.

The Facebook-owned messaging service has been adding new features at a steady pace. The company was recently spotted testing the video calling feature briefly on its Android beta app.

On the iOS beta of the app on the other hand, recently saw the inclusion of gif image sharing support.

Earlier this year, the messaging service WhatsApp announced that it now had 1 billion monthly active users .

The last major update to the platform was last month - the addition of document sharing on WhatsApp Web.
Shortly before that, the company rolled out its first desktop app for Windows and OS X.

You can now access the MTN customer service via WhatsApp

I ve already expect it to happen considering the percentage of whichWhatsAppis is increasing day by day.

You can now reach customer care onWhatsApp MTN instead 180 call and waiting endlessly for CC to pick up, you can do simple chat them up and within minutes you will attend your need.

I think it's actually the first TELECOMMUNICATION to have customer care services on WhatsApp.

And some of the issues that you must attend to WhatsApp includes Education MTN in products, customer complaints departments &, surveys among others.

The following are the 5 (five) MTN Dedicated number WhatsApp to add:

09033000001

09033000002

09033000003

09033000004

09033000005

This is a good move, but putting more emphasis on MTN giving us cheaper data plan. This is my number one complain.
