Looks beautiful, doesn't it. This is the latest OLED TV from Samsung. A report from Korea's Yonhap News Agency claims that Samsung will be rolling out 55 inch OLED TVs from its factory within June end. And a point to note that this TV is uninhibiting expensive. The News Agency has listed a price of whopping 10 million won or US$8700.00(Approx.Rs.5,22,000.00).
It is also reported that a curved version will also be released at the same time but the details about the curved version are not available at this point and time.
If readers will recall, both the South Korean behemoths, Samsung and LG had announced their 55-inch OLED TVs way back in CES 2012, but so far nothing had come out of it.
With Samsung shipping the OLED TVs, can LG be far behind. So expect a full fledged OLED TV wars by the end of this year and prices to drop considerably.
According to our source, LG is also expected to ship its OLED TVs within this month in South Korea. Apart from the Korean companies, Panasonic and Sony have earlier announced a joint venture to develop and mass produce OLED TVs. However, neither Japanese company has provided an actual product roadmap.
