Mac用に外付ハードディスクドライブが欲しいのでどの製品が良いのか考えてみた

どうも、まだまだMac初心者のSenaです。

今回はMac用にそろそろ外付ハードディスクドライブが欲しくなったのでここにまとめていこうと思います。
不測の事態にも備えなければいけませんからね。

理想的な容量

基本的に音楽やAndroid関連のファイル、電子書籍などをバックアップするために購入しようと思っているので2TBから3TBは欲しいと考えています。なお定期的にクリーンインストール病にかかるのでMac標準のTime Machineを使う予定はありません。

デザイン

やはりMacのデザインにピッタリなアルミボディを採用したストレージが理想的です。

UBB 3.0か、Thunderboltか

接続方法は悩みましたがUSB 3.0のものにしようかと思います。

Thunderboltのほうが圧倒的に高速なのはわかっているのですが、Thunderbolt規格対応のストレージは非対応の製品より1万円ほど高くなってしまうんですね。

また、常時アクセスするわけではなくバックアップ目的なのでUSB 3.0で十分だと判断しました。

条件に当てはまるストレージ

WESTERNDIGITALのMy Book Studio

まずデザインがグッと来たのがWDのMy Book Studioです。

アルミニウム筐体を採用し、Macにマッチしたデザインになっています。

容量も2TB、3TB、4TBとあるので自分にピッタリのものを探せそうです。

HDDそのものを自社生産しているのもポイント高いですね。

LaCieの外付けHDD LCH-FMN020U3

こちらは選べる容量は2-3TBでWDのものより選択幅は狭いものの、アルミボディを採用し高級感があります。

何より注目すべきはお値段。エントリー投稿現在Amazonでは60%OFFの8,480円で販売されています。

ただし、中身のHDDはSeagate製で、私はあまり良いイメージを持っていません。

まとめ

お値段を考えると断然後者なのですが、見た目や信頼性をとってWDの物を購入してしまいそうです。

後は容量を決めるだけ・・・

結局Time Machineを利用しないので2TBで十分だと判断し購入しました。

Asus Zenfone C ZC451CG/Z007 Camera Samples and Antutu Benchmark

Zenfone C is an entry-level device that the ASUS has created as a replacement for the ZenFone 4. The full specs sheet for the device already surfaced online as well as a few photos of an actual unit. The new handset seems to be almost identical to the Zenfone 4 in terms of design, but with a few notable upgrades in hardware especially at Battery backup with 2100MAh.

ASUS Zenfone C ZC451CG Specifications
