Play Temple Run on your Nokia Lumia 520, Lumia 620 and Lumia 720 for free

Users having Lumia phones with less then 1GB of RAM have been complaining about not being able to play the popular running game Temple Run.  Well, Nokia has paid heed to their demands and with Micorsoft has updated the game sot that it can now be played with devices running on Window Phone 8 even with 512MB of RAM.

The announcement was made over Twitter by Joe Belfiore, head of Product Definition and Design, Windows Phone 8. Belfiore tweeted, “A bunch of you tweeted me asking for Temple Run for your 512MB WP8 phones. Grab it now”.

To play Temple Run on a Windows Phone 8 device, you need certain permissions, including phone identity, media playback, data services, movement and directional sensor and either an HD, WVGA or WXGA resolution display.   You can read about this fascinating game here.

The game is actually Temple Run not Temple Run 2, which a reader brought to my notice.  I am extremely sorry for the error.

Marbly a new puzzle game for iOS devices from the Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov and Free

Remember Tetris, the old puzzle game which we were hooked on to in the early 90's.  Well the creater of Tetris has come back with a bang and how!  Alexey Pajitnov, the man behind the Tetris, which was a craze back then, has come out with brand new puzzle game called Marbly for iOS. 

The object of the game is simple yet complex.  you have to move the marbles to build a line of three or more matching marbles at every go. Remove all marbles from the board and you are done.  

The free game on offer at Apple store gives three set of puzzles.

- Race against the clock in Time Challenge; 

- Score enough points in Score Challenge; 

- Build your solution strategy in Moves Challenge

Battlestone from Zynga available free for Android and iOS devices, get it now

Zynga  today released a brand new game for iOS and Android devices, titled 'Battlestone'.  The game play involves hack and slash RPG much similar like the Diablo and Torchlight.  But Zynga claims that the game has a unique fighting mechanic.  

And what it says is true, the game comes with a unique approach for combats.  Instead of mashing your enemy up, you have to swipe the enemy till its dead.   This means swiping either an attack pattern, or even deciding the order of enemies you attack by swiping among the enemy ranks. 

The tagline of the game says it all: Swipe away evil. The characters in the game have skills that revolve around the mechanic of swiping. For example, after starting a whirlwind-styled attack, players can draw a path on the ground to make the character move along it.  The more deeper you go into the game, the more characters you can collect.  And each one has a unique ability to help you out.   The ability to summon and upgrade heroes is meant to add a level of tactics to the game as you will require heros with different abilities to destroy different enemies.

Temple Run 2 gets new maps, power ups, graphics and new DEATH to the game both for Android and iOS

If Rovio comes up with a update for Angry Birds Seasons Seasons, can Imangi Studios be left behind.  No, Siree, it has gone ahead with a major rehaul to its Temple Run 2 for iOS and Android.  The new update brings in new graphics, more obstacles, more power ups, and achievements and obstacles and wait a minute, New Death.  The new map gives the users a endless running game which can be fun for a couple of days till either your fingers tire or you neck gets cramped.

The new map, called The Narrows, has a treacherous new terrain added to the game that is bound to make avoiding obstacles far more challenging for players. The terrain has a series of narrow planks that are difficult to negotiate and if you slip you are a goner.  

The new Death :  You could also meet with an untimely death through two new ways. The path could crumble right before your eyes if you're not fast enough or you could come in the way of spinning saw blades. Sounds eerie!

Imangi Studios has also given away lot of free in-game money in this update which can be used for buying in-App stuff.  

On the technical side, Imangi Studios has also fixed a couple of important features of the game. Besides these bug and performance fixes, it has also patched up the skip button crash that seemed to be affecting a lot of users.

ABRA-CA-BACON update from Rovio for Angry Birds Seasons for both iOS and Android

Bored with playing with your friends on Angry Birds Friends, the Publisher of the game, Rovio has lived up to the task by serving a fresh new update to its Angry Birds Seasons franchise, taking it to v3.3.0.   And as per the company reports, the update is based on magic, hence the name Abra-ca-bacon.   Rovio's new Stockholm studio is behind this update.

Angry Birds just got better with the launch of Angry Birds Friends and what is more it is free.  The game is similar to the old versions where you have to fling your birds to kill the pigs, however the Angry Birds Friends adds a social tinge to the game.  You can play the game and put your score on Facebook.  This way you have good healthy competition with your friends all the while playing a game.  Putting the score on Facebook also means that if you have Android and your friend has an iOS device, it doesn't matter because you will still be able to put up your scores. 

To make it more interesting the Angry Birds Friends will feature tournaments offering new levels every week. The interactive angle allows players to brag, send gifts, and invite Facebook friends to play. It comes with four classic power-ups, plus one exclusive to Angry Birds Friends on mobile. Cricket Mania comes to your mobile, Disney launches IPL Cricket Fever 2013 for Android devices and its FREE

In a country where cricket is a religion after God, Disney and Indiagames wants to cash in on the current fever engulfing all Indians, the Indian Premier League by launching a free game for Android devices called the IPL Cricket Fever 2013.  The beauty of the game it is turn based and you can play it with your friends or with any random player.

The game offers you the option to play as a guest or you can link your Facebook account to it.  Logging in with your Facebook account gives you more options than playing as a guest. You can also challenge your Facebook friends if you log in via Facebook.

The game features all the nine teams that are playing this year’s IPL matches – Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Kings XI Punjab, Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Daredevils, Rajasthan Royals, Pune Warriors India and Royal Challengers Bangalore. After Apple now Twitter is getting its own music App Twitter Music which will be launched today

It has become a fashion of sorts to follow the leader.  After the Apple announced plans to launch a online music streaming App, the social micro networking giant, Twitter plans to go ahead with its App for music called the Twitter Music Service.  And whats more it plans to launch it today itself.

Only yesterday the Twitter guys has confirmed that they are taking over the startup "We Are Hunted" which is incidentally a music tracking tool.  Twitter now plans to integrate the startup with their own Twitter Music Service for providing better service to users.

According to the sources the App will simply be called "Twitter Music" and the music provided by this App will be hosted by popular domain SoundCloud.  When you launch the App you will just have to fill in your twitter username and password to sign on into the music service.  They can then personalise the kind of music they line in the in App options.  Non Twitter users will also have a chance to sign in on the App there by creating new users for Twitter.

The report further adds that Twitter Music will have four main tabs. “Suggested” will recommend songs and artistes based on the artistes you like and are  following plus it will also allow you to see the track your friends or the people you follow are listening to.  "#NowPlaying" will give you links to songs posted by other people you follow.  The next tab will be called "Popular" which you must have already guessed will give you the list of popular track on the App. The best is for the last "Emerging" tab will give you the tracks of the up and coming musicians and singers.  Maybe it will also feature some of the good bathroom singers.

We Are Hunted employees are said to be currently testing the app out on Twitter which was tweeted by the  company’s co-founder Stephen Phillips. The embedded music player looks exactly the same as SoundCloud’s, except for the fact that the shiny orange play button has been replaced by a Twitter blue. 

If you can recollect the "We Are Hunted" website was founded in 2008  for providing easy music discovery.  It pulled trends from Social networking platforms, blogs tweets and  P2P networks. Acquiring it should work well for Twitter if the Twitter Music takes off.  I am waiting for it to be launched to join the twitter highway to music.

Temple Run : OZ launched for iOS and Android devices

After successful launch of Temple Run 2 for Android last month, Disney seems to have picked up from were Imangi Studios left of.  Yesterday Disney launched Temple Run OZ for both iOS and Android.  Priced at $0.99 (Rs.53.18) this game is sure to have you in frenzy.

The Temple Run : OZ is a run up from the Imangi Studios Temple Run II except for the fact that it is set in Oz.  This game has been launched to solve twin purpose, to give games another wonderful game and to publicize the latest Disney Film "OZ the Great and Powerful.  In the game you play the role of Great and Powerful and travel the yellow brick road.  In the meantime you have to avoid the flying monkeys, dangerous plants and get over some obstacles.
